32 years in the oil fields taught me one thing — real men don't just talk about what they believe. They live it.
We didn't arrive here overnight. It took years — decades — of living, failing, getting back up, and learning who we really are. We've made mistakes. We've had seasons of doubt. We've been humbled by life in ways we never expected. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, Christ met us there.
Not when we had it together. When we didn't.
"The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." — Exodus 14:14, KJV
There are men among us who carry the Word in their chest, not just on their lips. They don't need a pulpit. They pray before the shift starts. They quote scripture when the world kicks them down. They've been knocked, doubted, and overlooked — but they never let go of the One who never let go of them.
We are not perfect. We are fathers in Christ — still growing, still learning, still becoming. And that's exactly the point.
These are the fathers who wake up before the sun — not for themselves, but for their kids. Who work the hard jobs, the long hours, the thankless shifts — because they want something better for the ones they love. Who look at their children and quietly pray:
"Lord, let them go further than I did. Let them carry less of what I carried wrong."
"The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him." — Proverbs 20:7, KJV
That's a father living the life of Christ — sacrificial, steady, shaped by years of real living, and full of a love that doesn't quit.
Christ didn't preach only in temples. He walked among fishermen, laborers, and imperfect men doing their best with what they had. He met people where they were — in the fields, on the water, in the middle of their hardest days and their biggest regrets.
We put His Word on threads you wear to work, to the store, to the world — because the Great Commission doesn't clock out. And neither does a good father.
You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to keep showing up — for your kids, for your faith, and for the God who called you to both.
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles." — Isaiah 40:31, KJV
You don't have to be loud about your faith. Just visible.
Wear the Word. Walk in the Light.
